1. What we do

Tutor At Doorstep is a matchmaking service that connects parents and guardians (“Parents”) with independent home tutors (“Tutors”) located near them. We facilitate an introduction; we do not employ Tutors, supervise lessons, or guarantee the outcome of any tuition.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the service. Parents may seek tutors on behalf of a minor in their care. By using the service you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the authority to provide it.

3. How the service works

Interaction happens primarily over WhatsApp. When you message us, we ask whether you are a Parent or a Tutor and request your location so we can match you with people within approximately 5km. Tutors register free of charge. Where a paid feature applies to Parents, the applicable charge is shown before you pay, and payments are processed by a third-party payment provider.

4. Role of the parties

Tutors are independent third parties and not agents or employees of Tutor At Doorstep. Any agreement regarding lessons, scheduling, fees, or conduct is made directly between the Parent and the Tutor. We are not a party to that agreement and are not responsible for the acts or omissions of either party.

5. Payments and refunds

Any fees payable to Tutor At Doorstep are stated at the point of payment and are collected through a third-party payment processor. Tutor fees for lessons are set and collected by the Tutor directly. Refund eligibility for any amount paid to Tutor At Doorstep is described at the time of payment or in a separate refund policy where applicable.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

• provide false, misleading, or impersonated information;
• harass, abuse, or harm another user;
• use the service for any unlawful purpose; or
• collect, store, or misuse another user's personal information.

7. WhatsApp and third-party services

Our messaging service operates through the WhatsApp Business Platform, which is provided by Meta and subject to its own terms. Your use of WhatsApp is governed by Meta's terms and policies in addition to these Terms. We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third-party platforms.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that a suitable match will be found, that any Tutor or Parent is suitable for your needs, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Parents are encouraged to verify a Tutor's suitability independently.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tutor At Doorstep and Tutor At Doorstep shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any conduct, content, or services of Parents or Tutors arising from your use of the service.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
